looking for parents of capt george rooke was a cadet in 1765 in the officers list of bengal army ensign served in the batta mutiny in 1766 george rooke died 1797 possible asford kent  george rooke married phillis mitchell b 1751/2  the family seems connected to admiral george rooke .in some way but unable to find his ancestral line ,parent unknown there was a sister ann rooke who died a wiltshire 1798?

Note sure if you have found this one before but, there is a George Rooke bap. 24 Jul 1748 to William Rooke and Ann at  St George the Martyr Southwark

He would be the right age and probable they may have another child and call it after the mother.

Could be worth looking for a will of William Rooke

found death of george rooke esq  died on the h.m.s chester  from india 1777 found also a baptism for george 24.july.1748 to william and ann rooke  st george southwark london  thank for your help.    regards paul
