Trying to find Alfred James Robertson In Canada or South America

Question

Alfred James Robertson known as Jimmy we believe went to Cananda.(Robertson-21314). He was Born in Aberdeen in 1887 and had two brothers and a sister who died young.

I have been trying to find him in Canada or anywhere in the Americas but not yet. He is from an engineering background thats why I thought he might be in Detroit !

Any help greatly received and vica versa if you have Scottish connections. I am based in Inverness.

A little tricky with a somewhat common name... do you have any additional sources to add to his profile, or is what you know about him based on family knowledge? 

Any chance this is his WWI service file? The birthdate isn't quite right, and the profession might not make sense for one with an engineering background, but the mother's name is Elizabeth ... is her address familiar?

This is helpful. Elizabeth was mothers name and with his father dying young mother would have been next of kin. Been looking to verify address of mother with family. and trying to find birth from War papers" 7 may 1890!" on Scotlands people.

Signature on war papers not a good match to the sig on photo bottom right.
