i do not know - there are i believe known sons daniel 1754, richard 1757 and wiliam 1758, possible son samuel based on the 1790 census of greenville south carolina.  i am not sure of the father to the elder richard - most of what is out there is regarding a richard kelley of virgna who in 1756 bought land with his brother thomas  from a ms lightfoot.  he had a son richard born in 1763 that is in the carter co tennessee records( he had 12 children).  unfortunatly a lot of the records confuse the 2 richards.  my richard is the one in greenville that later moved to mcminn county tn.

I believe that gershom kelley - also 1790 census and signed as a witness when ann gave land to daniel is probably a brother of the elder richard.  his family list his father as william  - and since there are 3 williams in the 1790 census, that is a possibility.

hope this helps

I too am a descendent of Richard Kelley of Greenville who moved to McMinn. Do you have the land documents you mention that put Ann as the mother and any documentation about the sons? By chance have you ever come across Richard's will?
