Spalsed Wooten, whats next?

Question

After many hrs of researching and digging to find anything other than what i already have on Spalsed Wooten and the various other first name spellings, i have become very frustrated with the tight lipped family members who refuse to give any assistance in any way, in all honesty, it's as if it is a sin to inquire about this man or any of my other relatives! I do not believe there is not another family member on here that has not done as i am doing at this time,who does not want to share what they may have.I now better understand what i was told yrs ago by my dad, best leave stones unturned that speak of things in the past, his exact words! Any ideas would be greatly apppreciated as to the next step in uncovering this deep dark secret that seems to loom over this family member .

Crazy Bennie!

I have one of those too in my family.  I have a story told by my Grandmother about her parentage that has been called into some question by others.  The fact that she lived in an orphanage from 6 until she finished college and had a less than close relationship with who she thought her birth family was doesn't help. Unfortunately the DNA test I have done has caused some interesting, quiet closing of doors with respect to getting to the bottom of things.  Oh well...I say one day!

What I can tell you is don't give up.  Don't make enemies either.  Look for the facts.

In the meantime, keep working on it and other things until something falls in to your lap.  Or smacks you up side the head.  Or you trip over it.  OR whatever.

I always laugh and smile and keep plodding away.  One day!

Oops! Forgot to ask if the DNA test is worth the money and if so, which would you recommend? The quite closing of doors interest me greatly!
