I cannot initiate a mergebetween two individuals I know to be the same.

Recently, I did a merge for Robert Springett (Springett-29) from my tree to the same individual in Carol Horton's tree (Springett-14 from memory).  Obviously both trees had the same wife (that is Mary Isabella Falvey (her Wikitree ID in my tree is Falvey-37) but I can't find a match when I do search. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Tony,

In the current profile of Robert I see two wives with identical names. Their profile ID's are: Falvey-37 and Falvey-1 smiley. You can merge the profiles here: Matching and Merging Profiles

Thanks.  I tried looking for the second profile ID but couldn't see it.  Where did you get the Falvey-1 ID profile number from?
You can see it on Robert profile (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Springett-29) just below the list of brothers and sisters where the marriages are listed :)
I must be flip'n blind as I can't see it.
It's this part :D

Husband of Mary I. Falvey — married 1884 in Fulham, London, England
Husband of Mary Isabel Falvey — married [date unknown] [location unknown]
You can btw also see both marriages in the descendants view of Roberts father: http://www.wikitree.com/genealogy/Springett-Descendants-1
Child number 13 is Robert. Both the wife profiles are listed after his name :)
Thanks, Daniel.

Tony, were you asking where you see the WikiTree ID?
http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/WikiTree_ID

That's in the URL, e.g. Springett-29 in http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Springett-29

You can have the IDs auto-filled in the merge form if you go the edit page http://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Springett-29&action=edit then look in the right column under Edit Family then find the "show merge options" toggle. You can then select two family members (e.g. two spouses) to merge.
Thanks Daniel and Chris. Sorry that seems to be growing into something bigger than Texas.  I can't see any ID no on the profile page but now understand I have to see them in my watchlist.  How do I get an ID from someone else's wikitree?
If the person is not in your watchlist you can always open the profile page itself. The last part of webpage address (after http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/) is the profile ID of the profile you are watching :)
Finally, I get it! Daniel you're a flip'n marvel.  Thanks
