I'd call it, Stong with No R.

There is a novel written about my family.  My first cousin, four times removed, wrote Buckskin Breeches (1937) that focuses on the settlement of Iowa and is based on family history.

Most of it is deals with his maternal family, there are characters based on our common paternal ancestors.

Needs an exclamation point after the question mark. But, that's a cool title!

Thanks Chris! I think we've all said that a time or two. laugh

.

That would make it an interrobang.

Glad I could help, John!

And yes it would, Melanie. =D
I 100% agree it would have been nice if our Ancestors wrote family history, stories and memories for the generations to come.

There is one for part of my family "The Nine Lives of Charlotte Taylor."

I think maybe if I wrote one it would be "The Lost Irish Princess" since part of my family persists i believing we are descended from an Irish princess.

The Kellett and Chalmers Families, South Island Spanish .

Both families are said to have Māori ancestors with South Island Spanish used as a term to hide the facts of being part native. At least that is what my father said.

I would call it "Mud, Flood, Hell & High Water" - the last half of that is a 1950s movie about the Mississippi River flooding. The entire thing is a quote from Patsy Cline in the movie Coal Miner's Daughter about Loretta Lynn.

I think this would be a good title as my family seems to have more than the fair share of tragedies. Many are induced by the family, some towards other family members. Incredibly some incidents the family is not at fault. The title also allows to tell stories of preservice in the face of unimaginable adversities. One thing is for certain, my ancestors were not dull people so a catchy title that lets the future reader know it is going to be an exciting story is fitting.

Mine would be mostly satirical in nature, attempting to answer the inevitable question every relative of mine asks upon learning of my genealogical discoveries:

Sanguis Regum

Where did all that money go?

That's exactly what I began 1 year ago. I didn't know my grandparents because of pryor death, but I began an historic novel, my first and maybe last, where I am talking about my father's parents and their immigration from Italy into Mexico, 2 years before the Mexican Revolution began. I am on my 7th chapter and still missing a lot. The narrative is in Spanish. I titled it "My grandmother's diary" ( translated title)
That is very admirable, as I have always considered doing just that but haven't gathered up the courage to go all in and get started. I wish you the best of luck in finishing your novel and feeling great about the incredibly hard work you must have put into it. I am certain a few generations from now (hopefully sooner) your descendants will treasure such a rich and detailed source of their family history.
Thanks to.you, Brian.

I have one family of Ancestors with 19 children, and remember an old friend who has passed now making the above comment.

I think "Fords of the Catawba." I have an outline for this (and have had it for several years). Before the Catawba was dammed for power, the river was not near the barrier to social communication as it is now. I have families who lived on both side and married their across the river neighbors.
