I got a random private message yesterday

It was telling me that my mt dna test was uploaded wrong. They said that I had a capital letter where is should be lower. That I corrected. However it also said that the upload wasn’t successful and to try again.

I uploaded this 2 years ago. If it wasn’t successful in uploading wouldn’t it show an error and not load at all?

This day and age  there are a lot of spam emails I’m not sure if this is one or not. Has anyone else gotten an emails like this?

Dollars to donuts it was from Peter Roberts, team leader of the WikiTree DNA project and team member of the mitoYDNA.org website.

The info you upload for the tests here at WikiTree is freetext, so it would not have errored out.

It was from him. I wasn’t sure with all the junk mail I’ve been getting. I thought it was odd that it’s been up there for 2 years. I’m not sure if I have to delete it and redo it.

Hi Alice, you don't need to redo anything since you don't actually upload your DNA to WikiTree, you just type in your information. I think he is just asking you to fix a typo in your DNA information. Go to your DNA Tests page and click "edit or enter more details" by the test that Peter told you needs fixing.

That I did, thanks everyone.
