Hi Wikitreers
My 3rd great grandfather Joseph Ranger is still a research work in progress but did we just find his death obit article?? “Died. RANGER—In this city, June 28, Joseph ine Ranger, aged 97 years, 1 month, 16 days.” The Ogdensburg advance and St. Lawrence weekly Democrat., July 06, 1899, Page 5, Image 5
If so seems to match is birth date. Places birth date May 12, 1802. I’m not sure why he is named Joseph then the “ine” in the article
Any collaboration getting his death date and location is appreciated
Possibly his son Julius dates match birth FindAGrave and whatever happened to Mary Ranger mentioned in the 1850 census?
The French names being Americanized is really difficult to piece together always nice to have collaboration. I was searching ancestry. This appears to be daughter Rachel Rosia might be a alternative spelling of Ronger Ranger see her possible memorial https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/28197639/electa-rosia
Edit: Then a death index of a Rachel Rosia passing November 6, 1894 in Norfolk, New York.
