I Need Help on my Steel/Steele Ancestry pre 1635..so confused!

Question

Hi: I have MANY generations of Steels/Steeles from England (Yorkshire...and Essex before that). I'm spinning my wheels wasting a lot of time sifting through erroneous data on several different sites. Some of the confusion stems from Steel, Southwell, and Sothill data getting co-mingled because of the similarity in names. Looking for researchers who are very solid on the Steels of Fairstead Essex England, pre 1600.

I've added a source on one of your profiles - the requirements for sources are much more stringent on pre-1700 profiles, and also having more sources will help other people to help you. :)

Thanks Gill: I will firm up all my direct Steel ancestors on Wiki with Source notations asap. Then I will leave that line alone for a while. If somebody surfaces who can help me with it-great.
