Advice before editing this pre-1700 Ratzlaff profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Hans Ratzlaff. This is what I can add:

  • <ref name=''GRanDMA Database''> GRanDMA GM21-07 July 2021, California Mennonite Historical Society (CMHS) Genealogy Database Project GMOL Website: GRanDMA Online v7.0.7. Use reference #36105 as guest or enter # in the surname field. https://www.grandmaonline.org/GMOL-7/login.asp </ref>

These are the sources I am using: If you go to that site click on the Guest link and type in the profile number, you can see the church sources and decide if they are acceptable.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

You should really use the sources quoted at the bottom of the profile - are any of them available online?
Would you just look? See if the sources meet your criteria.

I did look, that's how I saw the sources at the bottom of the Grandma profile. I can't see the original sources unless it's available online somewhere e.g. Emmaus Mennonite Church, Whitewater, Kansas. Record book 1888. Bd. Ms. 49, Mennonite Library and Archives, Bethel College, North Newton, Kansas, (not seen), but you would need to quote that as well in your citation and also that you haven't seen it (unless you have). Seemingly the original source is OK, but difficult to say without actually seeing it.

The citation as you've listed above probably isn't OK without the addition of the original sources as if the Grandma site disappears, nobody would know where to find it.

Which number is it that you're supposed to use? I got the profile of someone different. OK, got it.

So these are the original sources:

1  Thiesen, John D.; Gedcom File, Nov 2001 (Mennonite Library and Archives 300 East 27th Street North Newton, Kansas 67117)
2  Ikerd, Bill; Gedcom, Jul 2000 (2035 Holiday Drive Emporia, KS 66801)
3  Church Records of the Old Flemish or Groeningen Mennonisten Societaet in Przechowko, West Prussia (https://www.mennonitegenealogy.com/prussia/Przechowka_Church_Register.html), Pankratz, Lydia and Unruh, Anna M.; translators, Goessel, Kansas, Mennonite Immigrant Historical Foundation, 1980 [8 #25]
4  Church Book of the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in the Molotschna Colony (Translation of Kirchen buch der Gemeinde zu Alexanderwohl.), Duerksen, Velda (Richert); Duerksen, Jacob A., Goessel, Kansas, Mennonite Immigrant Historical Foundation, 1987 [#25]
5  Przechowko, Prussia. Mennonite Church Register [8, 9] View
6  Church Book of the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in the Molotschna Colony (Translation of Kirchen buch der Gemeinde zu Alexanderwohl.), Duerksen, Velda (Richert); Duerksen, Jacob A., Goessel, Kansas, Mennonite Immigrant Historical Foundation, 1987 [#23]
etc.

Also I would add the the first two sources are not suitable but the church records would be.
