My great great grandfather, Daniel Madden, was born circa December 1835 in County Derry, Ireland according to his Washington state (USA) death certificate. This certificate, witnessed and signed by his brother Patrick Madden, in 1914, lists their parents as Daniel Madden and Mary Kelly. I am trying to find birth information for Daniel and Patrick in County Derry as well as any other information for their parents, Daniel Madden and Mary Kelly.

John Grenham's excellent website has a well-organized summary of which records are available and for which time periods. Start here:

https://www.johngrenham.com/browse/county_church.php?cat=Derry#Derry

It will be basically essential to know which religion they were, and which parish they were likely from. Or you have a long hunt ahead of you!

Only a small portion of the total records in existence are available to view online, and again only a subset of that has been indexed for searching. A lot of records are on microfilm that you have to go into the PRONI office to view.
