Merge and and name problem [closed]

Question

Just performed a merge with what was two identical profiles, other than the Surnames.

Darcy and D'Arcy, I am fairly certain D'Arcy is the correct birth name.

Yet I can not edit the birth name to reflect and the profile shows up as "Patricia Cecilia (DArcy) D'Arcy (1941 - 1944)"    It should be "Patricia Cecilia D'Arcy (1941 - 1944)"

How can I fix this?

minor frustration rant below:

I have always had problems with the apostrophe with this name, mainly on online apps that do not accept the apostrophe,  then there comes to the capitals when many in the family are adamat the name is correctly spelt: d'Arcy.

Too late now, NG, but for the record and any future such cases, this problem would not have arisen if the merge had been done from Darcy-620 into D'Arcy-199 instead of the other way around.

See the remarks in the Help page section about direction of merge when one of the profiles has an incorrect last name at birth.

Jim, even when the correct direction is how the merge proposal is made, that does not guarantee the person completing the merge will not reverse it because of the numbers.

You will need to adopt the orphan profile to change the LNAB. After the name change you can remove yourself as PM if you don't want to keep it on your watchlist.

I see a few siblings that also have the apostrophe problem. They are also orphans so easily adopted and edited.
