I find documents that places Schwed/Zvonarevka in the Samara Oblast or Saratov Oblast.  Does anyone have a map from the early 1900's showing the borders between the two regions?

This is a map of the Samara Governorate from 1913.

The Saratov Governorate is to the southwest. It seems that the river Volga was the boundary. So the villages on the east bank were in the Samara Governorate and the villages on the west bank in the Saratov Governorate.

If I found the correct Zvonarevka (here) it would have been in the Samara Governorate.
