Wow, I knew he was a heavyweight, but had never read through a full list of all his compositions like the one on his Wikipedia page. What an incredible body of work.

I read of his death last night. Julian Lennon (John's son) posted a FaceBook message from his FB site as to Burt Bacharach's death yesterday and paid tribute to his contributions to music. Since then, I have seen posts about his death in Rolling Stone and American Memory Lane. For me, most memorable was his 'Raindrops Keep Fallin' in the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. His music made that scene so memorable for me.

He wrote for and with so many notable musicians, singers and songwriters.
