The Springston Cemetary was the cemetary for Springs County, subsequently merged into Ellesmere County, Lincoln was and is the district immediately east of Springston, and has it's own cemetaries.

Hi Gary

Im not sure what your asking for but this Cemetery Category names relates to the cemetery called the Springston Cemetery and where it is located now, as described by the regulating authority (the Selwyn District) - the Springston Cemetery is now located in Lincoln and not in the village/area known as Springston ( even though it may have been considered to be in the past)

As a “local” in my youth, I can advise (confirmed by Google Earth) that Springston is 5km east of Lincoln and the cemetery is immediately alongside St Mary’s Anglican Church. The Lincoln parish would be able to confirm that the cemetery is still open and comment about its history.

Hi Alan - that is a different cemetery - That one is referred to as the "St Mary's Churchyard", and that is in Springston, but is not the same cemetery as the Springston Cemetery which is over off Weedons road

It sounds like there is some unique history for this cemetery.  I recommend editing the cemetery data to add this information outside of the standard cemetery box.  It may be best to do this as a free space page.  But I am unsure if you are familiar with this method.  If you are uncomfortable with either of these, then add the history you have here and someone will capture that on the cemetery category for any person in the future to see and understand how the name developed.
