What are the correct historic location names for Hammerstein am Rhein, Rheinland-Pfalz, 1618-1816?

I am adding a few profiles from Hammerstein am Rhein. They fall into the period 1618 - 1815.

PS: a category exists which describes the historic location names from 1816 onwards:

Looks like this was part of the Palatinate in what was then known as the Holy Roman Empire. Using the guidelines outlined by the Germany Project, we should use the place name as it would have been known at the time. i.e. in German.

So the correct place name would be Hammerstein am Rhein, Kurfürstentum Pfalz, Heiliges Römisches Reich.
