Not an answer - but there is a Peder Rasmussen born 12 Jan 1848 in Magleby, Mønbo, Præstø, Denmark who leave for USA in 1867 - Same as your Peder?

Very well could be - I cannot be certain, but perhaps someone with more knowledge might handle this. I'm working from US cemetery records and census records. I saw census records from 1851 and 1861 but don't know for sure that they were his.

The Peder Rasmussen from Magleby, Mønbo leave the parish 27 May 1867 to travel to USA via Hamborg together with Jens Peder Pedersen. So depend on if there is something in the USA sources that can connect the 2.
