G2G: Two William Pearce's of Boston and Manasquan Need Separating [closed]

In connecting the artist Fred Pearce to the larger tree, I have found what appears to be conflation between two men named William Pearce (c 1735, Boston, 1799 Manasquan, New Jersey). A merge has previously been rejected though conflation is obvious unless the two different wives can be documented as that of the same man. The first William Pearce is noted as Quaker so some records should be found. The second William Pearce is here with a different wife.

If any of our Quaker Project members would like to sort this out, many thanks.

It does appear the profiles are the same man with Mary Green a first wife with whom there were three children and Lydia Tilton the second with three additional children. The will names two children from first marriage (and the third perhaps deceased). Profiles to be merged with additional sourcing to be completed. Research notes link on second William profile has the basics.
