G2G: WWII Army Category for David Arnold Nickerson

Question

I have enlistment information on his profile https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Nickerson-3723 but am seeking further information and appropriate military category. I am not very good at researching military records for WWII.

It appears he served in the United States Air Force. During the Second World War, the United States Air Force was known as the United Stated Army Air Force. The USAF as we know it today was not formed until 1947. You will see both AAC (Army Air Corps) and USAAF (United States Army Air Force) in his records. It appears he also served in Korea. I have updated his categories, adding United States Army Air Corps WWII & United States Air Force Korean War. (Technically, I think it was the Korean Conflict for U.S. -not declared by Congress and no resolution or peace declaration to date- though it was certainly a war for Korean civilians.)
