G2G: Two merged (2018) profiles still displaying as siblings. [closed]

Question

Two profiles that were merged in 2018 are still displaying as two different siblings under their father, with two different names. If you click on each of them, they return the same profile. What is going on here?

Ken, the issue (now resolved) was that a "ghost" of the merged away profile was left behind.  This doesn't happen with every merge (thank goodness!), but when it does it can be quite puzzling to those who haven't seen it before.

As I posted below, Rubén Hernández has removed the "ghost" so all should now be well.

Hello Ken.

As Melanie explained, this is a known bug. Sometimes, after a merge is done, there is a remaining connection to the merged away profile. This is easily fixed by removing that connection,

I looked at the two profiles, and they both certainly there, made no changes whatsoever, but Emily Unknown is now apparently gone.

19:42: Rubén Hernández removed Emily (Unknown) Halcomb (abt.1849-abt.1934) as child of Frederick (Nantz) Nance (1801-1881).

Well, really, I just sat here and twiddled my fingers in the right direction, and *poof*, the problem fixed itself!
