Do you use tools to create custom diagrams on WikiTree?

I recently wanted to create a diagram showing how a person was related to their adoptive family. I haven't created a diagram like this before and wanted a free equivalent of Visio. I ended up using Google Diagrams to produce this:

Have others done similar things? What tools did you use? Any tips on creating diagrams like this (it was fairly time-consuming)?

Thanks,
Rob

You could use LibreOffice (a free alternative to MS Office), it has a draw program pretty close to Visio. I haven't used Google Diagrams.

I haven't used LibreOffice for genealogy related diagrams, but I have made diagrams like yours for software documentation.

draw.io (now diagrams.net) is my go to for any diagramming needs. Huge template and shape libraries, as well as add-ons for different platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, OneDrive, Office 365, GitHub, etc.).

It seems very basic at first, but is hands down the best Visio alternative in my opinion and highly flexible.

An excellent tool.

I have a free program named ClickCharts that I have used for many years.  It has virtually no learning curve and I have always been very pleased by its results.

I use a number of different tools depending on where I want the charts. For simpler charts, Microsoft Word's SmartArt can do nice charts. Diagrams.net is generally good after a bit of practice. Most of the time I use Adobe Illustrator but that is another expensive alternative but can make very pretty charts (but tedious to do so).
