How to post DNA test results?

Ok I took my DNA test from Ancestry.

I got the results. I want to share them on Wikitree.  I read the directions. I need a tutorial-- or to be lead by hand thru the process.

Thank you for any help you can provide this Luddite

WikiTree doesn’t collect or store any actual DNA data, just the fact that you have taken a test or tests and which ones.  In order to actually compare your DNA with someone else you need to use a third-party site like Gedmatch.  After you enter your test information Wikitree will propagate that back through your tree so other people who share relatives with you will know you are a potential match.

There's a YouTube video about it that should help you.

Bill, on the upper right of the WikiTree pages, click on the Add button. The first item in the drop-down box is DNA. Click on that. A page will open where you can enter your DNA test information. Since you tested on Ancestry, just enter that and then there will be a place to enter your username on Ancestry. Before you leave that page, be sure to Save. Give it a few hours to show up on your profile and about 24 hours to show on any ancestors you have entered.
