CORRECTION.  Scottish records indicate these are two different George Oliver. I apologize for my mistake.  #1 my GGGG grandfather, George born abt 1801 in Southdean married Janet Brown, Sept 8 1823 in Edinburgh both stayed in Scotland. Tracking genealogy down through son Thomas Oliver b 1824 in Hawick, Scotland.

The other #2 George Oliver, born 1806, Scotland married Janet Vair Dec 15, 1827 in Stow, Scotland. They immigrate to Chesterfield, Ontario Canada with 3 of their children Robert, Margaret & Jessy.  George died July 11 1876, and Janet died Jan 10 1896, both  buried in Chesterfield cemetery, Chesterfield, Ontario.  Family recorded on the 1871 Ontario census.

Hi Chis, Thank you for your response.  If you can find anything on George's Oliver born about 1801 in Southdean, Scotland, and married Janet Brown, born Aug 2 1798 in Selkirk, father Thomas Brown b 1779. George & Janet were married Sept 8 1823 in Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh.  I don't know who his parents are?

The response you provided due to my misinformation, was on the other George Oliver, born 1806 in Scotland and married Janet Vair and immigrated to Chesterfield, Ontario, Canada.

Corrected. George Oliver born abt 1801 Southdean, Scotland had only 1 wife Janet Brown lived in Roxburghshire. Died bef 1851 Scotland.  Janet was a washerwomen and George was a baker, from census records and death certificates. Their 7 children likely born in Hawick. Waiting confirmation.

George Oliver born 1806, Scotland married Janet Vair, and immigrated to Chesterfield, Ontario, Canada. Listed on Ontario census 1871.  George listed as a labourer on different census records. Their 6 children born in Maxton, Melrose, and James born in Lilliesleaf.

Hope this clears up my mistake of linking the 2 familes as one.
