A person I am researching is said to have been born "Uf Lichtmess" (Candlemas Day) in Schmie, Maulbronn, Württemberg in 1687. My question concerns the word "Uf" ('Auf'). Can I interpret that literally as ON 2 Feb, or is it more AROUND 2 Feb?
