Why does North Carolina Sticker work differently than other states

With most state stickers you can use
{{Maine Sticker| born in Blue Hill}}
with North Carolina you must use
{{North Carolina Sticker| text= was born in Henderson}}
Shouldn't they all work the same way?

The North Carolina sticker was created some time before the other U.S. states got stickers. It was created specifically for people born in the state, and is used on a number of profiles for that purpose. When I started creating stickers for other states, I did not alter the original purpose of the North Carolina sticker because I didn't want to mess up the profiles where it was in use.
