DNA Confirmation App, which screen should e.g. {{AncestryDNA}} lead to?

If I click on {{AncestryDNA}} shown on a profile's source citation, to which page should it link? On my profile page it goes to ''https://www.ancestry.com/dna/insights/75C0755C-2254-462F-818D-9E9414697946''. I would have expected it to go to my DNA test results page.

I've probably set up an incorrect parameter somewhere.

All advise warmly welcomed. Thank you. Mike

{{AncestryDNA}} is an external link template to https://www.ancestry.com/dna that functions as an affiliate link for WikiTree. This will give WikiTree credit if a purchase is made from that link.

If you are signed in to Ancestry and already have a DNA test done through them, it may link you to another page - but that would be handled on Ancestry's end.

This template has no parameters, and cannot link to a specific AncestryDNA test. It is more of a way to support WikiTree (to help keep the site free).

Thank you very much indeed Steven, for such a full and clear explanation. I'm very relieved to know what's happening, I feared I had a major tangle on my hands.

Best wishes.

Mike
