G2G: I am overwhelmed with profiles. Is it better to orphan profiles with ought proper citations or get rid of them?

Hi Paul,

We don't delete profiles, but you can orphan them if you are no longer in them- you can see here in G2G people saying they do that often.  Personally, I have never removed any profile I've created and I don't have an issue.

Hi, Paul --

I agree is it Very Tempting to want to "keep" every profile you ever created.  Realistically, however, it is "perfectly OK" to remove yourself as the profile manager.  I view these as future gifts to other (unknown) genealogist.

I have found some of the orphan profiles were my ancestors, so keep looking, it may pay off.
