Mary Rebecca Abbott had five children to a Thomas Cornelius between 1875 and 1884 in South Australia. No marriage record found for this union and I have nothing to identify which Thomas Cornelius it was. It does fit into [[Cornelius-1092|Thomas Cornelius]] timeline and as such he is the best candidate, but I need some evidence.

There is no record for this marriage in the SA records on Genealogy SA website. He isn't recorded in BISA either. There was a Cornelius family in Mt Barker so maybe look at church records.

Thanks Sue. The Mt Barker Cornelius family was Thomas Williams Cornelius, who was sometimes confused with this Thomas Cornelius. The church records could be enlightening. Thanks for the clue.
There is now a Government index in S.A.  Is that what BISA stands for?
BISA stands for Biographical Index of South Australians. It is a guide only to people in the Colony prior to c1888 that had something recorded about them.  It is always worth looking at BUT any information needs to be verified. There are book forms in many libraries and Genealogy SA has it on a database.

Sorry. I have looked and did not find any more information than you have collected for the Cornelius family.
