Charles Ferdinand Becker's daughter, Marie Louisa Becker married John Charles Lawrence on the island of St. Martin (French territory) in 1856 and had several children. John Charles Lawrence was Victor E. Lawrence's gr-grandfather. Our Lawrence family is trying to find when either the Lawrence or Becker families came to the islands to settle, and where they came from. Victor's DNA shows he is related to Lawrence men who know their origins are a John Lawrence in England who immigrated to the U.S. in 1635. But, we cannot find John Lawrence's descendants who settled in the islands. We also have Bryans, Gumbs, Larmonies, Burnetts, Richardsons, Williams, Vlauns & Duzants who married into the family in St. Martin and do not know their origins. Would like help finding their origins.
