Same Cole that lived in Hurricane, Fayette, Illinois in 1860?    No names on the parents though,  bio says they died in Bedford County,  but I didn't find any Coles from that time period.

Bio on Find A Grave says

John Cole was born about 1798 in Bedford County, Tennessee. He moved his family by wagons to Fayette County, Illinois, in 1835, where he was said to have taken "up government land in the vicinity of Vandalia, as did his parents in Tennessee where they died." He "was a Democrat and a Methodist." He died at his residence on his farm in Fayette County, Illinois. Names of children include William O., James Melman, Alfred W., Richard Tillman, Rainey Bluford, Sarah Jane, John Jackson, Delila Frances, Elizabeth "Betty", Julia Ann, Henderson Van Buren, Thomas Ewing Cole.

John Cole is my 3rd great grandfather.
