When do the Connections update?

Question

I recently connected my tree with three grandparents who were already in WikiTree.  Each of those grandparents had several pages of genealogy filled out already.  I expected my list of connections to grow.  It has been two days and my number of connections has stayed the same.  I read that the connections are updated twice an hour and 30 minutes after adding a new person.  Is there something I need to do to manually update the number?

Chris, are you using the browser extension?  If you are, I have an idea that clicking the number might fix it.  (I seem to recall reading something like that on g2g.)

Connections automatically update. CC7  connections counter seems to update within minutes, the connection finder seems to take about a day. This is from my experience of adding one at a time. Your case may take a bit longer-I don't know. There is nothing you need to do to update connections, just keep making new connections and profiles, please. Thank you, thank you, for scouting out ahead and connecting to existing profiles of your grandparents! It is so much easier to connect to existing profiles but people brand new to wikitree may not know how, so we gets lots of duplicates that need to be merged. The connection finder updates every day at 9am CE(S)T. (This is certain.) When you just connect a branch, using the "Connection to me"-button in the menu with the ID of the profile you're on, seems to update every full hour. I am not certain about that though.

Sometimes when connections don't work as expected there are snags as overlooked duplicates and the like.

You created your grandparents in June 2021, weren't you connected to them already? I'm not sure what was so recently changed in your relationship to them.

BTW, just noting that your profile says you have 744 connections (not bad) - was that the same number you had before you made the changes?
