G2G: Help! I'm not sure who is the parent?

Hi

I have parents that I can't sort out and need some help.

I have John Cushon marrying Anne Goldspink in Norwich 1804.

I have a daughter, Maria, (my direct ancestor ) with the parents of John Cushing and Ann Goldspink born 1805, Heddenham, Norfolk.

Then in 1809 Thomas Cushing and Ann Goldspink had a son Thomas Cushing 1809 in Earsham, Norfolk.

I have looked at sources for these and even the original documents are spelt this way.

Where do I go from here?

The surname on his baptism should be used as LNAB. Variant spellings can be put in the "Other Last Names" field. Spelling was quite fluid back then.

An exception is allowed when the family commonly spelt their name one way.  In such cases the family name can be the same, but the variant form the odd document can be under other last names.

thank you
