Marie Marguerite de Provinlieu was a fille du Roy, arriving in 1671 or 1672, marrying in 1672, to an Irishman who came with the Carignan-Salières regiment. Right now this family group is unconnected.
There is also a question hanging about her place of origin, authors have followed each other in naming the location Saint-Maurice-aux-Riches-Hommes, archdiocese of Sens, either in Champagne or Bourgogne (Yonne). But the marriage record and contract (both linked or imaged on profile) are not that specific.
They moved to France, and have an identified son born there in January 1674. After that, no further trace found of Marguerite; her husband sells his concession in Chambly in September 1674, then is gone. He is another avenue for connection, although more iffy, from what I have seen of Irish records availability. Both DoBs are estimated, we have nothing giving them ages here.
Any help to clarify some of these points or connect them appreciated.
