If you are an Oklahoma, Indian Territory, Trail of Tears or generally interested researcher and have previously viewed the early Chronicles of Oklahoma editions at the Edmon Low Library/Oklahoma State University website, it is time to update your links and URLs!

The back editions of the Chronicle 1921-2019 are now available FREE directly from the Oklahoma Historical Society website "The Gateway to Oklahoma History"

https://gateway.okhistory.org/explore/collections/CRNOK/

The format of the site is a familiar one, used by other similar institutions. It is easy to search and even easier to find the edition if you know the year and month. If you also know the page number use the "Jump To" field on the left side of the screen to move directly the desired page.

If you are new to the "Chronicles," they are a wealth of information, especially those early articles written from first hand accounts or near-to-event research.  The description follows:

The Chronicles of Oklahoma is the scholarly journal published by the Oklahoma Historical Society. It is a quarterly publication and was first published in 1921.

The Chronicles of Oklahoma includes scholarly articles, book reviews, notes and documents, and the minutes of the quarterly meetings of the OHS Board of Directors.

All members of the Oklahoma Historical Society receive a subscription to The Chronicles of Oklahoma.

Enjoy this resource, it can speed you along your path of discovery and probably share details about Oklahoma you never knew before.
