Hello, I'm researching a number of families. Right now brick walls are in the female lines of my family:

Marie Louise Carre born 1825 in Switzerland, died 1853 likely in the Caseyville area of St. Clair County, IL.  She married Maximin Oulevey (1819-1887) in Switzerland, probably Fribourg area, prior to immigrating between 1847-1850.

Catherine Ann Salair/Salier born 16 Jan 1803 Lorquin, Moselle, France, Married Jean Louis Davinroy (1785-1875) Immigration between 1831-1833 to St. Clair County, Illinois. Died 20 Oct 1867 French Village, St, Clair County, Illinois.

Josephine Phiell/Field born about 1841 in Switzerland.  Immigrated to St. Clair County, IL 1858, married Florentine Girardin (1821-1891) 2 Feb 1860. Died in either 1875 or 1879 in St. Clair County, IL

Oulevey family in Châbles, Estavayer, Fribourg, Switzerland

Hi Carol,

Welcome to Wikitree! If you want help with your brick walls, you might want to include the link to your branch of the WikiTree upon your profile.

Welcome aboard, Carol!

Your next step is to upgrade to family member. Then you can start adding your family branches and digging into the research. Once you have a few profiles added, come back here to the forum and post links or ID numbers so other members can help you.

You can also use the search page to search for your family. You can search for individual names or use the wild card in the first name field to search for anyone with that surname. Then narrow your results by date or location. The search page can be found under the Find drop down menu or start with the search box at the top of the page.

Good luck with your research and enjoy your journey into the past!
