Romelia must have traveled to Spain at some point in the late seventeenth century.

She was born around 1660. She married Mr. Eliecer de Silva y de Ghwyzup. I would appreciate any information on her origins. Thank you. José josepelaez2002@hotmail.com

Her surname is midieval English with variations in spelling such as Wider, Wither, Withur, and Withers. Two posssible origns would be from the Norse male personal name "Vitharr", or the Old Danish form "Withar". More details are at surnamedb.com

Do you happen to know what country she was from or have an estimate of her birth year?

Thank you for your answer, Frank.

I believe she was from England, but possibly Spain. I estimate her birth year as 1600.
