My grandfather was John Thomas Kirkham. his father was John who married Annie Young in 1877 and I believe that his father was Samuel.

In my tree, I have a John Kirkham that is possibly/probably from Cheshire born 1809. I don't have a death date.

Brother Thomas Kirkham born between 1815 - 1818 and died 1886 in Middlebrough, Yorkshire North Riding, UK.

Father Thomas Kirkham born 1786 in Latchford, Cheshire, England, died 1852 in Warrington, Lancashire, England.

Mother Sarah Dagnall 1791-1834.

Paternal grandfather Issac Kirkham.

Paternal grandmother Martha.

the brother's wife was Ann Margaret Tilly and they had 6 children: Daniel, William, Thomas, Sarah, James, and, Joseph

Hi,

I guess you know about these but Cheshire has some great online websites you can look at.

Here is one for wills

http://archivedatabases.cheshire.gov.uk/RecordOfficeWillEPayments/search.aspx

and there is a project to put the parish registers on line as well

http://cgi.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/

also on family search is a family tree that has John's bap as 11 MAY 1777 East Kirby, Lincoln, England Parents William and Sussanna

If he married 16 Aug 1802 at the same place to Ann Young circumstantial location evidence would imply he may be the son of William and Sussanna.

Have you checked if the marriage gives a location of where he is from.

But if you think it may be Samuel I guess you must have a source that I don’t know about.

Hope this helps
