How do I delete a photo I uploaded to my Profile?

I uploaded 1 photo a few hours ago.  I used the wrong one.  I need to delete as it showed other pics under the pic.  I uploaded the correct one, but when I used a draft, the second pic was gone.  I’ll start over, but I need to remove the one pic on my Profile.  Thank you!

Just click on the image, scroll down to where it says "people and things in this image", then click the selector for "REMOVE from image".  Then scroll down and click the save button.

You will still be able to see the image, but the system will have marked it for deletion, and it should no longer show on your profile.

The Photos FAQ no longer match what is shown in the UI. The instructions state, . . . "where it says 'People, Places & Things in the Photo'" but now the UI shows "People & Things in the Image" and there is no selection for "REMOVE."

The question remains, "How do I delete an image that I previously added?"

David, if the image is not attached to any profiles, the system will remove it in about a month.  Until then it may still be seen by you, with no remove option, but will only show as a thumbnail to anyone else.
