G2G: New member introducing myself

I have some original documents which originally belonged to Francis Scott Maples of Alabama (d. ca. 1881).  I inherited them when my aunt died years ago; she was married to David Maples of Lubbock, Texas, so they actually belonged to his family, but nobody came calling  for them.

I am 74, and would like to see these papers go to actual descendants of Francis Scott Maples, or to a museum.

If anyone is interested, please contact me at my e-mail address, cowboyswing2@gmail.com; I will be happy to scan the documents to you.

Be patient, however, as I do not have the internet in my house; I go to the library all the time, so it wouldn't make sense to have it in both places.
