G2G: why I can't do full save?

Question

For Jones-12855 (I am not the manager). I added his children to the biography and saved the draft. I would like to also add Jared's father, but wiki will not let me do a full save. I don't see any highlighted areas that I need to repair. If I try to click on his profile, it warns me about unsaved changes. Need advice.

Have you entered something in the "Change explanation" box (just above the save buttons)? It won't let you do a full save if that box is empty.

Yes, I did enter something in the change explanation. Full save still grayed out.,

Try typing a space or something in the biography, as sometimes the system gets confused and thinks there hasn't been a change made.

I also tried another suggestion I saw: exit, then re-open profile and sysem asks if you want to use the draft.. I said yes, use the draft, but couldn't do a full save again.

Okay, I managed a full save, but now when I click on his profile, it says father unknown, with nothing to click on to add the father. Jones-12855.

I think only the profile manager can add a parent directly from the profile view. If you aren't the profile manager you need to edit the profile and click on "add father" in the panel on the right.

Nancy, if you are trying to add a profile for Jared's father, you would do that by opening the Edit window for Jared's profile, and at the top of the 'Edit Family' section on the right-hand side there will be a link to [add father].  When you click that, you'll get a new window that'll let you either create a new profile or use an already existing profile for the father, but you would complete the action in one of those new windows, not in Jared's profile.
