Hi Wikitreers

We have a Walter DeBaum photo with dates of February 29, 1828 - December 9, 1901

Need collaboration deciphering the exact writing and what genealogy he belongs. Is the exact spelling of LNAB DeBaum? Maybe DeBain DeBaun?

Thank you

Appears to read as follows

Grandfather, Walter DeBaum. father of Mary A. (DeBaum) Pickham, mother of Margaret M. Wallace

2-29-1828-12-9-1901

Could be Peckham?

Wow Roger your so good at this! This has to be our gentleman how many can match a leap year birthday! Photo purchased originally from antique dealer in Ct.

Amazing

Margaret M. Peckham, the daughter of Mary, was born on September 19, 1886, in Rhode Island, and died in September, 1975, in Cranston, Rhode Island.  Her second husband, whom she married on March 12, 1917, was Andrew Dickson Wallace.

Thank you now research can continue. Added the daughter and granddaughter with husbands to wiki

Those are good clues, but only a family tree, not records.  They're good clues, but it's still going to take more research to find records.  Then again, it's possible the person who made that tree got their info from the same photo and all we're doing is going in circles ... which might not be all that bad because I've heard that those who go around in circles are big wheels.

Added sources see findagrave and photo is in my family collection from antique dealer but more sources would be excellent yes

Margaret’s son Looks very similar to him

see his great grandson on FindAGrave
