help needed finding support of siblings/children not in Richardson for Sir Robert de Clifford (d 1314) [closed]

Hi! I was preparing this profile for review as part of a Magna Carta trail and I'm not able to find any mention of some of the children (or siblings) listed in the bio/attached to the profile. They're marked with "citation needed".  I don't like to just disconnect people, but couldn't find support they belong where they are & I couldn't figure out which Clifford parents these children should be attached to instead. Let me know (or add to profile) if you can help. Thanks! Liz

The Complete Peerage, cited at, only shows three children for Robert Clifford.

I'll suggest that you go ahead and detach the other children.  They could be fantasy people, or they could be people with no known parents who have been arbitrarily added to this couple.

thanks... Richardson lists four (Peerage omits Margaret). One of the extra siblings is already marked with the {Questionable} template - and she was about the only one I thought might actually exist. Cheers, Liz
The Complete Peerage, usually only deals with those  who inherited the title and doesn't necessarily list all the children/siblings in a family.

I can check that volume later if you like.
Thanks John - I don't think that's needed. Richardson has all four - Roger, Idoine, Margaret, and Robert (the three that Peerage has plus Margaret). They're in several of the sources listed in their dad's profile ( ). It's the extra three we're looking for documentation on - John, Andrew, and Catherine.
If neither RIchardson nor show additional children, that suggests that they probably don't  exist.  If no other information comes up on this G2G thread, I'd go ahead and disconnect them.  If you add the standard "disputed parents" paragraph with an embedded link to Robert de Clifford, it'll be easy to add them back again if evidence pops up later.
Thanks John - I took care of the extra siblings but haven't gotten a chance to do the extra kids yet. I usually write up something each time. Can you post a copy of "the standard 'disputed parents' paragraph"?  Thanks! Liz
I did the individual write-up route - the extra children have been detached. Cheers, Liz
