G2G: Bug report: wrong format WikiTree ID in tree (no _ used) [closed]

Case: in the ancestor tree, WikiTree IDs are incorrectly formatted.

Open the family tree on a profile. Click on a name that contains multiple parts of the LNAB. Result is an URL including spaces, not one with _

Example: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van den Bergh-420

Where

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van_den_Bergh-420

is the correct format

Current result:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access this resource.

Expected result: profile page.

This should be fixed now. Let me know if you see the "Forbidden" error anywhere else.

Note: If you visited a broken link for an image, your browser might still send you to the bad link for that image for a while.

I can confirm that the examples I found are working again as expected.

This seems to be caused by a very recent change... like in the last hour or two. It is also affecting space pages with spaces in the name.

I have had an issue come up where a ? is being added to the image I put in the Bio of this profile https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Johnston-27634.  If I click it in the side bar it is fine but when I click the thumbnail version I get the error.

I see the same error as Kylie.  The error url shows as https://www.wikitree.com/photo/jpg/Johnston-27634%3f

The actual image url is https://www.wikitree.com/photo.php/6/63/Johnston-27634.jpg

So the system is doing something funky.

This just happened to me when attempting to upload an image to a person profile.  The system added a ? and told me the file was not found.

Interesting bug.  Curiosity wants to know why the ?

In case it is helpful (full size on click) --

Yes, that is what happened with two files I uploaded.

What was just as interesting was that, despite telling me the file was not found, the upload actually took place.  I just could not access the image.  (Situation is now resolved, and the image is set to primary.)

Thank your for reporting this, Dorothea van den Bergh, and for investigating, Jamie Nelson.

Same "Forbidden" result when attempting to return to the space page proper after saving an edit.

I get the same error for Template:Holocaust%20Sticker

Adding an underscore instead of a space in the url fixes it.
