G2G: Search function not showing profiles I know are there

Hi,

I did a search for the last name Longmore and then for the ones on my watchlist but not all of the profiles are listed.

I have 12 Longmores in my watchlist but only 7 come up in the result.

If I search for Samuel Longmore using both names a list of all the Samuel Longmores come up, but if I search for Longmore there are no Samuels in the list at all that I can see.

I’m prepared to hear I’m doing something wrong but I can’t for the life of me work out what it is.

I see there was a bug back in 2021 is it still causing an issue?

Hi J. If I search for last name Longmore I get 316 answers:

There is only one result (Longmore-317) for an exact search for first name Samuel and last name Longmore.

Can you please tell us the WikiTree ID of an example profile on your watchlist with surname Longmore which does not appear in Search results?

Using browser Find on Page on the last name list with 316 entries shows that none of them is called Samuel. There is no Samuel on the table view either. This is either a delay due to caching, or more probably a repetition of that 2021 bug. You could edit your question and add the word

bugs

in the Surname/Tags field to draw attention.

Longmore-317 is one of the ones I was looking for.

I see now that the rest of the names when I search for both names are “Longman.” (I missed that)

However the other issue still stands that he does not appear when I search for just last name. There are a few others not in the list either.

I’ll do what you say and insert the bug tag.
