Hello - my 4th great grandmother is Sarah Ainsworth, wife of Thomas Ainsworth. Her maiden name is believed to be Finch, but I have seen no documentation for this. She is often listed as a daughter of Edward Finch and Martha Ballard in countless online trees. My question is what documentation does anyone have that shows this connection? Edward and Martha have a documented daughter Sarah Finch Eppes, so this does raise questions about the parentage of Sarah Ainsworth. Can anyone point to any information as to where this comes from, either documentation or somewhere in information that has possibly been passed down in the family? I'd appreciate any help.
