Advanced Person Search | Search Help Pages
The profile for Nancy (Dickinson) Mathews (1771-1844) has multiple DBEs for the citations to FamilySearch pages. The URL generated by {{FamilySearch|LV63-Z2V}} for example -
adds extra characters to the URL -
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/LV63-Z2V%E2%80%8B
which results in "page not found".
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/LV63-Z2V - without the extra characters - takes one to the intended FamilySearch page (the person page for Thomas Dickenson Mathews).
The Suggestions for her profile flag all of the FamilySearch templates used:
invalid format: ^[A-Z\d]{4}-[A-Z\d]{3}$: Numbered parameter: 1 (record) {{FamilySearch|LCPX-YCT}}
Yet the URL that should be generated - for that example, https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LCPX-YCT - opens the person page for "LCPX-YCT", Mary Ann Mathews (1800-1865), even though LCPX-YCT has been "deleted by a merge" (note to self: new AFN is LRT5-32Z).
Did something change in the WikiTree coding? Does something need to change?
Thanks!
found this comment posted on another G2G question:
There are 2 special space characters after the code and beffore the }} in first 6 templates. I don't know how they got there, but that is the problem. If you turn on the Enhanced editor, Those spaces are nicely visible in red. Just delete them. The same suggestions were present on https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Klee-451 and I deleted them there.
