sandilands family research

Hello again.

I read that Kelly Bartlett has done research on both Joseph and Joseph William Sandilands.

Both are in my husbands familytree. In fact joseph william is the name of my husbands grandfather.b.richmond,cape,and died in 1906. Wife maria louisa v. Niekerk. Is this the same J.W.?

His grsndfather was joseph b.1795 dumfries in scotland. Same? I believe the Sandilands families in the colesburg area are related. Correct? I did see a familytree years ago showing a joseph coming out to south africa in 1698. Is this true?  Please, Kelly, I would like to hear from you. Sincetrely ann ross

Go to     Sandilands-147,    that is the profile for Joseph Sandilands.

From that page you will be able to contact Kelly Bartlett who is the profile manager.  You may learn whether this is the same Sandilands you are looking for.  It appears that the profile has a lot of information.

I created Joseph Sandilands (Sandilands-147) profile.

I also found his parents and set them up, Willem Sandilands and Martha E. Van Der Merwe.

 

I attempted to set him as the spouse of Maria Louisa Van Niekerk (Van_Niekerk-325) but her profile is locked and requires the profile manager, Rene (Van der Walt) Van de Reede, to either add, or add me to the trusted list to make the connection. I haven't received a response from her yet.

 

You may want to request access to the trusted list. To do this go to Maria's profile and on the right side under Collaboration - click on the 'Request to join this profile's Trusted List to edit and add images.'

 

You can repeat this process for all the Sandilands, I will approve your request and set you up as the profile manager for the profiles I created.
