Anne DeNeville, Mother of Anne Strange, has thrown me for a loop!  I have been researching for days.  Have my research shows Joan deBeaufort and mother and some show Margaret Stafford.  A few show Unknown.  I dont put anyone if my tree unless I am sure.  But there are so many refences to both mothers how do we know?  Will the real mother of Anne Deneville please stand up.  ALso, is Ralph DeNeville not her father?

Joan Beaufort married Ralph Neville, first Earl of Westmorland. Their daughter Anne married Humphrey Stafford, first Duke of Buckingham(a great grandson of Edward the Third) Anne's son Humphrey married Margaret Beaufort, the daughter of Edmund Beaufort. He was the son of John Beaufort. Humphrey and Margaret had a daughter, Margaret Stafford who married James Touchet of Audley. Joan Beaufort and Ralph Neville had a son Edward, styled Baron Bergavenny who married Catherine Howard. Edward's daughter Anne Neville married John le Strange of Knockyn For more information, see entries in Burke's Peerage and the several books on the Wars of the Roses,as the struggle between the House of Lancaster and the House of York split the Neville family, because Joan and Ralph's younger daughter married Richard of York, the father of Edward the Fourth and Richard the Third. Some Nevilles went Lancaster, supporting Henry the Sixth.
