suggestion for improvement

Non-urgent request for change.

The current profile page shows the first 12 badges.  All badges can be displayed by using the link [display/edit all nn badges]. This works satisfactorily and allows sorting the badges into a preferred order.

However if there are many badges the procedure is cumbersome as scrolling is slow and the page is long.

Suggestion. Keep this but add another link:-

[show badges only without descriptions] which could give a display with 8 badges per row. For most people all their badges would fit on one page. This could have a link at the bottom to go to the current display/edit (with descriptions page.

A further suggestion could be to make the new page editable (for order) by drag and drop. This coud be a later improvement.

If you think this is a good idea upvote it so the developers can assign priority, or add comments.

Or even separate the two types of badges. Monthly activity badges and Achievement badges. Then allow us to say which type to display.

I like to have my achievement badges at the top to display. Its tedious to drop the monthly activity badge down the list every month.

When I visit someone I like to see what they have been involved in, like Pre-1700 and Project Member badges. I am never curious about how many clicks they made in an edit box.

Can I recommend the WikiTree Browser Extension's Sort Badges feature?

Thats interesting, thank you!
I clicked on the link under installation and it took me to an overview/info page with no obvious way to install the extension? ...Never mind, figured it out!
Thank you Ian, the sort badges button worked wonderfully.

I hadn't looked at the Wikitree extension options before. There are a lot of interesting and useful things there. I'm looking forward to exploring some more.
