G2G: A suggestion for Adopt Orphaned Profiles

I just went down a rabbit hole on WT and found the Adopt Orphaned Profiles page. I thought I would like to adopt a couple of these, and work on connections as a way to give back to the Community which has given me so much help and fun.  However it isn't a very friendly list. it comes up in groups of 100, and the first page I looked at included about half 'Private Profile' and unclickable as a result.  Is there any way we can eliminate these uneditable profiles from the list? And, second question, if I by coincidence, add a person, who is one of these 'Private Profiles', does the system pick them up as a match and connect them, thus giving me editing rights, or are they forever destined to remain as 'Private but Orphaned Profiles'?

To find Orphaned profiles to work on, I use WikiTree+ to zero in on profiles by location or surname.  Or if exploring the main list, just scroll down to the bottom and click the next page to move beyond that first page.

Thank you Patricia, I had, of course, heard of Wikitree+ but never explored it.
I followed NG Hill's instructions in the post below this one, and I got my list. But I can see that WT+ offers far more than just this immediate fix for me.  Is there a tutorial or guide somewhere? I have searched youtube but nothing came up.

On the page for WikiTree+ there are little green circles with question marks in them and I think each one opens to different information.  The only one I have explored is the one for Text searches and it has a multitude of ways to retrieve the profiles most relevant to what you want to do.  I use it mainly to get lists of profiles that I want to add sources, or connect to the tree, etc.  I choose a location, mainly to trim down the list, as I don't wish to get a list of thousands of profiles, and selecting places where I have relations, increases the chance I may find distant relations.

Patricia has the answer for you.

Wikitree+   which I use to do a very similar query.

EXTREMELY POWERFUL.

If I want to search for Australian Orphan profiles, my query text is:

Manager="Orphan" Australia

In the Search section (second button down) and not the Suggestion section (I made that mistake).

Hint: you can also save the results as a spreadsheet on your own PC.

I love the Ask Aleš video sessions, explaining WikiTree+

Thanks again to Aleš for the WONDERFUL tool.

Thank you. See my comment after Patricia's post.

There is some sort of bug that causes profiles that aren't orphaned to show up on this list. We clear out the wrong entries occasionally, but it's been a while since we've done it.
